*11/1/24 update* Welp, Coop ended up needing a ct scan because they found a mass in his lung area. They determined that it’s a bulla, which is an air sac, and if it pops it could become life threatening. The only thing to do is to get a lung lobectomy surgery so they can take out part of his lung lobe. We are hoping after this surgery, our boy can get healed up so he can be himself again. Thank you again to everyone who has donated already. We appreciate it greatly. Anything helps.

*10/2/24 update* Coop had his follow up exam on Monday in which they suggested more X-rays to determine if he would need another round of antibiotics. The vet called us yesterday with the results letting us know that the pneumonia is still present and that there are now air sacks in his lungs that could pose bigger problems if they get bigger. He was prescribed 2 weeks worth of antibiotics and will need to go in for a follow up and more X-rays when he has finished his meds. We can’t thank you all enough for your generous contributions and concern as we know everyone is fighting their own battles but this one has taken a toll on us.
Much love,

*9/21/24 update* cooper is now home with us but he still has a long road to recovery. he ended up having to be hospitalized for three days which increased the vet bill significantly, and it is still continuing to go up due to all the medications he needs. he doesn’t have a huge appetite, so we are having to force feed him that way he can take his meds to help him feel better. we are hoping he improves slightly each day here on out. thank you everyone for your kind words and donations, we are SO thankful for each and every one of you.

*9/18/24 update* cooper is still in critical condition and is now hospitalized at ironhorse for the next 24-48 hours because his condition has worsened. this has caused the vet bill to increase a considerable amount and we are very worried about him. he also hasn’t been eating so the vet is very concerned about that. please keep him in your prayers everyone.

hey guys. coop woke up at 2am this morning vomiting, struggling to breathe, and incredibly lethargic. we decided to take him in after a long night together and he was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia, which means water got into his lungs causing him extreme difficulty breathing.
he is currently hospitalized at the vet and we hope to take him home tonight, however, the vet bill was unexpected and money is tight. he will need to go back for follow ups to make sure his lungs are improving, which could mean more x-rays and medication.
if you are feeling generous, a little goes a long way <3 coop means the world to us and anything helps!
thanks everyone!
