Stacey is a nurse at Deaconess Midtown. For the past 24 years, she has been taking care of patients; now it's our turn to return the favor.

Early in January, Stacey got sick with an unexplainable viral illness and was hospitalized. During that time, she required 3 blood transfusions, multiple electrolyte replacements, multiple CT scans, and a bone marrow biopsy. One of those CT scans showed a suspicious area for malignancy in her breast. With further workup, Stacey has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

She is currently waiting on her treatment plan, but it looks like she is going to need a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction surgery at a later date. Chemo and/or radiation is still pending. She is very devastated. She will need time off work for treatments and recovery from surgeries.
