On June 2nd, my brother Levi suffered a life-changing accident after falling from a roof. He was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, where x-rays revealed a broken right hand and two severely broken and mangled lower legs.
His journey has already included multiple major surgeries. On June 3 his Initial surgery to place a pin in his left heel, clean open leg wounds, and apply an external fixator to his right leg.
June 9: Second surgery— Right fibula ORIF with plates and screws, plus reapplication of the external fixator.
June 11: Third surgery—Right tibia ORIF with rods, plates, and screws.
After 11 grueling days in the hospital, Levi was finally discharged on June 13th. He now faces a long and difficult recovery, wheelchair-bound and unable to bear weight on either leg for at least 3 months, learning to transfer using a slide board with only one usable hand, extensive physical therapy in the months ahead.
Levi did not have medical insurance, which also means no short-term disability income. He will be out of work for the foreseeable future and is facing mounting medical bills, transportation costs for out-of-town appointments, and the need for medical equipment and home modifications.
Levi is not one to ask for help—he’s the kind of guy who’s always the first to lend a hand, work hard, and expect nothing in return. He’s ambitious, passionate, full of heart, and driven to support those around him. Now he needs that same support from his community.
We’re asking for any assistance you can give to help Levi cover, monthly bills and rent, transportation to medical appointments, medication and medical supplies, equipment to help him adjust at home, peace of mind during this long recovery.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps lift some of the burden off Levi’s shoulders. Please share, donate if you’re able, and keep him in your thoughts as he begins this incredibly tough road to healing.
Thank you for supporting someone who would never hesitate to do the same for you. ❤️
