Lincoln's Surgery Cost

Hello, our names are Jaden and Taylor and we are fundraising for our 6-month-old puppy Lincoln. Owning a Golden Retriever was always a dream of ours. We spent years daydreaming about what it would be like to have one of our own and raise as a member of our family. When we finally were able to find a trustworthy breeder with reasonable prices, we put our money together and made our dream come true. Two weeks ago we noticed that something was not right with Lincoln. He refused to eat or drink, would show significant discomfort when we would rub his stomach, and threw up more times than we could count. We knew immediately that something was seriously wrong, and decided to take him to the Vet. After a thorough evaluation, the Vet decided that taking X-rays would provide us with more answers as to what was causing Lincoln such severe pain. When the Vet came back with the X-ray results our whole world turned upside down. He told us that Lincoln had something stuck in his stomach, causing his intestines to wrap around in a tight ball. The Vet went on to tell us that if he didn't perform surgery immediately, Lincoln would not make it more than a few days. Me and Taylor made the clear and only choice of moving forward with the surgery, knowing that was the only way that we would be able to keep him alive as the newest member of our family. 24 staples later and in happy spirits, Lincoln is finally home with us on the road to recovery. Both me and Taylor are in our early twenties and live a very minimal lifestyle. The bill for Lincoln's visit and surgery totaled up to just over $4,000. We decided to start this GoFundMe with zero expectations of any donations. We understand that living in today's world is very costly and difficult for everyone.
