Hi, my name is Hunter. This is a little bit of information about my mom (Tracy).
My mom used to work as a postal carrier and lost her wages when she was injured. She only worked for four years and had no insurance because she was only part time. She loved to work and do the things she loved like going boating, riding bikes around the neighborhood, and playing with her children but is literally not able to do these things anymore.
Back in 2005, my mom was seriously injured. My mom is disabled now. A frozen can fell on her foot and she was diagnosed with RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy ) but is now known as CRPS (Complex regional pain syndrome).

This past June has been 10 years since my mom has been ill. This syndrome is rare and chronic. This has affected my mom in ways I would have never thought of. This syndrome has caused multiple problems in my mom's body. First affected were her legs and then it spread to her back. Now, she has shoulder problems on top of her back and leg pain (but this is from a different incident). My mom has a slight tear in her rotator cuff and arthritis in her shoulder. My mom is depressed, fatigued, and in pain constantly. Recently, one of my mom's many doctors has suggested a surgery where a neurostimulator would be placed in her lower back in order to reduce the pain she feels in her back and legs.

My mom has been referred to the Mayo Clinic twice in order to get some help but the closest one to us is in Jacksonville. She has never gone because she didn't have enough money or strength to go there. She didn't have money to stay overnight, pay for gas, or even have anyone to go with her.
On top of all this she and I face other issues. My mom has all the symptoms of a thyroid issue but has not officially been diagnosed with anything due to lack of money to see a doctor. We pay our bills but we do enough just to get by so any help with paying bills in advance or just having help with them would be a blessing. Even more, my mom wishes to get a divorce and would like to file bankruptcy but of course it requires money to even do those things. One of the main reasons my mom wants to get divorced is because her husband is tired of my mom being sick.
In the past few months my mom lost her insurance and is not able to get her surgery for the neurotransmitter due to this. We used to have food stamps in order to help us out with groceries for the month but they were reduced. The stamp money was reduced because I got a job and they thought I was helping buy groceries and help pay for my mom. As much as I wish I could pay for things like that for her, I can't. I'm trying to save for a car and I don't make enough to buy groceries or pay for doctors visits and prescriptions as well as save money for myself.
My mom has a job and works part time because she isn't physically able to work more and can barely do what she does now. Last year my mom made $4,000 in income tax and she hopes this year she will at least make $3,000 because she's been cutting back on how many days she can work. With all the medication she's taken over the years it's hard for her to focus and remember things. My mom can't stand or sit for 20 minutes without feeling discomfort yet she does it everyday.
My dad pays $250 in child support every month but it's not enough for us. My mom collects $750 in social security disability but it still isn't enough. And we are supposed to pay all of our bills with that money. Along with all of these things I am going into my senior year and that entails a lot of money being used. After high school, I plan to hopefully attend college.
My mom wants to eventually (somehow) get a house and rent some rooms out to people and collect money that way. We currently live in a two bedroom, one and one half bathroom for the both of us. The money that anyone donates will be put forward into medical bills, a car, regular bills, groceries, or possibly even college.
From my mom: "thanks for reading my story and may god bless and keep you." she wants to share jeremiah 29:11- "For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
