My daughter, Jody had to go back on dialysis after her transplant she had for 27 years couldn't do the job. This was her second kidney. Her sister- inlaw Lara wasn't a match for Jody, but she was able to go into the pair exchange program which exchanges live donor kidneys with people that have a donor but it doesn' t match the recipent. The donor and recipient get put in a data base across Canada, there they cross check for matches and they found one. This is Jody's best chance as this is her third kidney for her, but the costs to stay in Vancouver is terribly expensive as she has to stay there for possibly 2-3 months while she recovers and attend many appointments to make sure this 3rd kidney has all the right tweeks before she can go home. The accommodations they use for this is booked and has a waiting list, so they are looking what other options there are near the Vancouver General hospital. Please help Jody with this overwhelming expense so she can focus on her speedy recovery. Thank you so much.
