Hi, my name is Dolce Guevara. Some of you know me as a tattoo artist (or your tattoo artist). But in my personal life, I’m an individual like everyone else, I have a family of my own, a mom and a dad and siblings.

Today, my dad is hospitalized as he suffered a cerebral infarction yesterday (brain stroke), August 28th. Ever since I remember he was an athlete, a jokester, he likes to party and listen to his music but that has all changed.

He is thankfully currently stable and under observation. Out of respect for his privacy and my family’s privacy I won’t divulge all the information of his diagnosis and current state, but I can share that he will sadly be in need of an electric wheelchair for the foreseeable future, therapy and rehabilitation, and changes to their household in order to accommodate him in this new chapter of his life.

I cannot afford all of it for them (they cannot afford it on their own), so this will help me bridge the gap.

If you can find it within yourself to help in any way, by donating or sharing this with someone else, I will be forever thankful and grateful. I never thought I’d be in a position such as this but I love my parents dearly and my heart breaks seeing them in this situation.
