Hey guys! My name is Destiny Gonzalez, and I was recently diagnosed with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis. This is a disorder of the large intestine and if left untreated can lead to cancer. FAP is an inherited disorder within my family and has caused the death of my grandmother and my great grandmother. On June 25th, 2019, I will be admitted to the hospital to have a Colectomy which is a surgical procedure to remove my entire large intestine. This is a procedure that is mandatory for me to receive and, unfortunately, my insurance does not cover all of if any of the expenses of the surgery itself, the hospital stay, or appointments with specialists. I am left with this financial burden at a very critical time in my life. Due to the extremity of this surgery, I will be out of work for 3-6 months, based on my progress, and left to come up with the remainder of my surgical expenses as well as my living expenses. I’m not one to ask for a helping hand but with the turns of events I’d be immensely grateful for any donations or shares to help in this time of need. Thank you .
