Flat Fire Family in urgent need! Please donate if you can ❤️

I hate these beggy posts but I have been advised to set one up for Mon and the kids as they are really struggling at the moment following a chip pan fire that took out the kitchen at Monikas flat- please don’t feel obligated to donate but if you can help out that would be awesome I know a lot of people have offered but Mon has been in limbo.

On the 10th April Monika and Coen was cooking chips in the kitchen and they began to smoke. Coen concerned because of Mons condition turned off the oven hob and attempted to move the pan but it was hot and it flew into the sink that had washing up in it and the whole kitchen went up in flames - I was at the flat at the time and managed to isolate the fire and get everyone out safe apart from Coens hand had a minor burn.

They had no support whatsoever when it happened and thanks to the Red Cross they stayed in a hotel then housing options offered a hotel room at the park hotel in manningham which I have been staying there with her and Hope to get her to school - it’s certainly an experience but I wouldn’t have them here without me here - it’s not a nice place but would make a gripping gritty reality show - so we have been living here since and the boys and our cat blue have been living in temporary accomodation thanks to the UNBELIEVABLE kindness of family friends but this is taking its toll on us all.

Monika was offered a house in Shipley which would come available 24th April but she was told not to enter her flat then was told they needed to do an asbestos check before we enter the flat and we couldn’t take her belongings into storage awaiting the new property to be ready and over the bank holidays.

Mon was then told that the house was ready and we could pack up our things (still no asbestos check) but we would have to have all her belongings boxed and ready for them to move them to the new house and wouldn’t give her keys to the property so we could move her over the half term.

We managed to move the bulk of our electricals and possessions to our friends locally for the time being awaiting an update from incommunities who said they was awaiting carpets been put down in this temporary accomodation.

incommunities have now advised that the house is only temporary while they sort the flat out.

it has been impossible to contact her landlord incommunities and every turn it has been made infinitely more difficult at every turn.

Over the weekend our son Coen has been admitted to hospital because of issues with his diabetes but gladly he’s back at our friends.

Now today they say they refuse to move her stuff because of fleas?!!! (Without even visiting the flat I reckon and I have already twice treated the whole flat ‍♂️ anyway)

Monika has til the end of the week to move and we need all the help we can get. They are now giving her the keys following a gas safety check.
