Nepal

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal. The village where I was a teacher, Sundar Bazar, is near the epicenter of the earthquake. Sundar in Nepali means beautiful, and it is a beautiful place with beautiful people. I am now a physical therapist in San Francisco. I spent a short time in Haiti after the eartquake there assisting in the rehabilitation efforts needed for those suffering injuries such as loss of limbs and spinal cord injuries. I will return to Nepal to meet the rehabilitation needs of the people in the weeks to come. The photo is of me and the school staff in Sundar Bazar. I have remained close with the people there since my Peace Corps time. I am raising funds for my plane ticket. Any funds I receive above that I will bring personally  to families in need in Sundar Bazar.
