The Smith Family

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news of the passing of our friend and team member Gary Smith.

Gary was a part of our TRI family for over 16 years as Operations Manager for our Anchorage facility. We could not have asked for a more driven and dedicated person to lead our Alaska branch. Gary was a veteran and a foster parent who always put others ahead of himself. His passion for recycling and his commitment to his family and the community in Anchorage helped drive the company’s success in Alaska and was an inspiration to us all.

Gary took pride in designing creative ways to give back to the community and was always the first in line to help anyone in need. He was the definition of selflessness and set an example for our team on a daily basis. His two mottos were: "Think of the next guy" and "4th Quarter, Suck it up! ”. We will greatly miss his infectious sense of humor and generous soul.

We ask first and foremost for prayers for the loved ones left behind but also for financial assistance as the Smith Family prepares for their final goodbyes and any other financial help they may need.

Any amount you can manage to donate is very much appreciated. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Smith family.
