Hello, my name is Michael Greco and I am fundraising for families in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa. I currently reside in Seattle, Washington. I have been traveling to Jamaica for over 25 years and have truly fallen in love with the people, the country, and the great kindness that permeates the entire nation.

Hurricane Melissa devastated many parts of this small island nation, and the government will be challenged to provide the resources to the people to get life moving again any time soon.

I have friends in Jamaica that have either lost entire houses or had businesses demolished. They have no running water, no electricity, and no internet, let alone a significant lack of resources and shelters to house those that are displaced. I am asking for donations so I can send them money directly so that they can begin the process of getting life back. This money then can be used for buying building materials, equipment such as chainsaws, circular saws, drills, as well as basic daily necessities such as food, water, and clothing.

I ask that you donate what you can in order to provide families resources to start to rebuild.
