Cambodia Mission Trip 2015
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and supporters,
Three years ago, as just two freshmen in high school, we had the privilege of embarking on the first of many mission trips to Cambodia. Now as juniors, we are fortunate to expand the team to nine teens and three adults. Due to the larger team this year, we will need additional funds to cover the larger planned construction work and travel expenses for the group.
This year, similar to the previous two, we will travel to New Hope Orphanage, located in the rural village of Battambang, Cambodia. There, we will do a variety of construction projects, including concrete work and painting, as well as teaching English to the wonderful 33 orphans. Our goal is to develop a sustaining high-school program, which exposes Pleasanton teens to these children and the challenges they face.
Along the way we encounter culture-shocking experiences of what occurs outside of our world, but more importantly, we have an opportunity to help the orphanage and spend time with the children. This is by far the most rewarding aspect of our trip and helps bring two diverse cultures, thousands of miles apart, much closer! Whether it is teaching the kids English, handing out food packages to the less fortunate or building and repairing facilities, we positively influence each other’s lives.
Today we are asking you to help us fulfill our mission once more. The money raised will help pay for our journey and pay for the construction projects at the orphanage. We are grateful for any and all contributions, and are looking forward to this incredible experience.
Help us build life changing relationships for everyone involved.
Thank you,
Calvin Cliff, Chloe Ostroff, Jessica Smario, Jordan Breilh, Jordan Snyder, Julia Wilcox, Kristina Ekman, Morgan Martinez, Tori Palma
