Greg's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Greg's medical journey has brought him to terms with a rare disease that has kept him in the hospital much of the last year. He has FAP Gardner Syndrome which is a genetic disease. FAP causes colon cancer in 100% of people effected if they do not have surgery to remove their colon. After Greg had this surgery, he developed numerous tumors throughout his abdomen and chest which is part of the Gardner Syndrome. Only 1 in 8,000 people have Gardner Syndrome and it can present in a number of different ways, but Greg has the most severe way which is tumors. Earlier this year, Greg's tumors were crushing about 50% of his left lung, crushed his uritor, had wrapped around his heart, caused a hole in his small intestine, and generally filled his abdomen by wrapping around major arteries. He endured 8 months of chemotherapy, which has shrunk his tumors (only by about 50% ) and will be starting a new regimen of chemotherapy soon. He has fought many infections landing him in the hospital multiple times each month, endured surgeries and procedures, and is still trying to stay positive through this process. With all the medical expenses of hospitalizations, chemotherapy and medication, we will face having to pay our entire deductible again at the begining of the year. We appreciate any and all help with our financial burden. Greg also would love to hear from each of you close to him and wants stay connected through these hard times. Thank you in advance for your love and support!
