This past Friday morning we were up at 4:00 AM to head to Iowa for my Aunts funeral. When we let Thor out to use the bathroom, he hunched over and couldn't urinate. We knew something wasn't right as he began drooling heavily while trying to urinate. Unfortauantley we had to head to Iowa and had to have my mother in-law and sister take hime to the vet. We received a call from the vet telling us that Thor needed emergency surgery to remove over 100 stones from his bladder as well as the stones that were stuck in his urithra. They have never seen anything like this before. This couldn't have come at a worst time especially after spending $2000.00 for plane tickets . We now have to come up with $1500.00 for his surgery as well as $100 a week in special canned dog food. When it rains it poors!! We are hoping that we will be able to raise some money to help with this unexpected financial strain.
