What is Needed?
Financial support is immediately needed for a young mother and her three-year-old child while their loved one is detained.
Father and husband to the family, the prominent immigrant rights organizer and valued community member, was the primary financial provider for the family. He was detained by Border Patrol on August 30th and is currently being held in immigration detention for an indefinite period of time.
Funds will support the family with their material needs such as food, transportation, and housing during this difficult time.
A prominent immigrant rights organizer and local dairy worker for over 10 years in our area of Western NY, has been detained by immigration because he didn’t have an ID. On his way to celebrate his daughter’s birthday, he was driving and was pulled over for a minor traffic violation. When the only ID he could produce was expired, the Attica Police called Border Patrol who took him to the Tonawanda Border Patrol station to process him and then brought him to the Buffalo Federal Detention Center in Batavia where he is now detained. He daughter did not sleep all last night crying for her father.
