Hi, my name is Dominique. In October of 2024, I took out a mortgage so my mother could have a stable and safe place to live. Unfortunately, in April of 2025 I was laid off from my job. Since then, I’ve done everything I could to stay afloat—using employment assistance programs while actively searching for steady work to get my mortgage payments back on track.

I have recently secured a new position, but despite my efforts, I’ve fallen four months behind and the home is now in the process of foreclosure. With everything happening in 2025 and as we start off with the year I completely understand that many people may not be in a position to give—and that’s okay. For those who are able, I would be deeply grateful for any support, no matter the amount.

More than anything, my greatest hope is to spare my mother from the risk of homelessness. Whatever happens to me, I just want her to have a place she can call home for the rest of her life. Thank you for reading, sharing, or offering support in any way.
