On July 21st, 2023, Bill and Kristy Hoover were tragically killed in a car accident. Bill spent decades working as a firefighter in Kirkland, Washington and was a beloved figure in the fire service. He was a constant advocate for improved firefighter health and safety and dedicated a good portion of his career to teaching and training in his inimitable "sink or swim" style. Kristy was a savvy businesswoman and had a sassy radiance that warmed a room and made strangers feel like instant friends. Both were active in their church and drew strength and community from their faith. More than anything, Bill and Kristy loved one another and their family. This donation page is meant to honor their lives and to help ease the financial burden on the 5 children they leave behind: Bridger, Brogan, Jack, Leanna and Noah.
