Help Laurel beat cancer!

Hi there. As you may or may not know, my brother, Guy, passed away from cancer in January. Now my best friend, Laurel, is battling cancer for the second time and I am seeking funding for her treatment so I won't lose her, too. Guy's best friend set up a successful GoFundMe campaign for my nephew, so I am hoping to have success for Laurel, as well.

She has completed radiation but the doctor has said that the chemotherapy treatments available in Canada are not an option for her. Therefore, she is seeking funding so that she can travel to Mexico for treatment, as the same treatment in the USA or Europe is too expensive.

The clinic in Mexico offers insulin potentiated therapy which is a low dose type of chemotherapy treatment that does not damage healthy cells and has few side effects. They also offer other treatments in combination, in order to combat the cancer from a variety of angles.

This treatment option is too expensive for her. Laurel is a single mother who worked hard to raise two daughters on her own: one is still in school and the other is struggling with an autistic child of her own. They are helping her as much as they can but it is not enough, even for the extra care options in Canada, such as special massage therapy to help alleviate symptoms. She only has a small fixed amount of income each month. The funds will hopefully be enough to take her to Mexico for the life-saving treatment she needs and to pay for any other treatments that become available to her.

Laurel is grateful for anyone who finds it in their hearts to help contribute to the fund. She would love to have more time to contribute to society, launch her daughters into the world until they can become self-sufficient, and watch her grandson grow up. And I would also be extremely grateful to anyone who can help me give my best friend some extra time with her family and me.
