Clyde

Sooo here goes… this really isnt something i wanted to do, but for the sake of Clyde i have to try absolutely everything.

As most of my friends know little Clyde a jack russel pup was surrendered over by his breeder to the vets that i work at ( there was no question he was coming home with me and id try my best to fix him) He was 7 weeks old and diagnosed with swimmers syndrome ( this is a developmental deformity that causes puppies to be born flat on their stomachs with their legs splayed out. This makes it difficult for them to stand or walk, and they move around by paddling their legs like a turtle) most importantly this can be fixed with regular physiotherapy which i have been doing religiously, along with many other things.

Unfortunately Clyde suffers with alot of pain/muscle spasms and because of this he is on multiple pain relief medications which in turn has made us realise there is something else not quite right with him, his mobility is gradually deteriorating which is very concerning and after lots and lots of sleepless nights and research it could be something else other than swimmers like initially thought. Clyde is happy, he eats well, he toilets well, his little tail wags when he is happy to see you but besides this he has something else going on which ultimately i think only a specialist can give their opinion on. Clyde has had x-rays and had vet examinations but the next step is to see a specialist.

I am raising these funds to get him to see a neurologist where hopefully we can come up with a plan to try and save him. The consultation fee is around £300, then MRI at 3/4k and surgery on top totalling as much as £8000. I am absolutely not saying that surgery is the plan at the moment however we have to raise the money for the consultation to see the specialist… he deserves this at the very least!! He is the sweetest boy… he didn’t ask to be born into this world, particularly with these issues.

I wish i didnt have to do this but obviously given the circumstances of Clyde joining my family he is not insured so his care needs to be self funded, if i had the funds to do this myself i would but it just isnt possible at the moment.
