Sues Cancer Help Fund

Donation protected
Hello, this is Ann, Sue’s sister in Fallbrook.

It was last December when Susan was diagnosed with a rare cancer-NK T-Cell Lymphoma.  Leave it to Sue to get something rare and exotic! With 8 chemo treatments, 5 stays in the hospital, multiple infusions and a bone marrow transplant in July, it has been a long road to recovery, but she has been a real trooper to beat this!

While her insurance has covered most of her treatments, she is now starting to receive uncovered hospital expenses and having to pay for most of her  medications out of pocket. One of her anti-viral medications alone is $600.00 a month out of pocket, another is $300.00 and her Graft Versus Host Disease cream is $179.00 every two weeks. (Graft Versus Host Disease is one of the many symptoms of the bone marrow transplant) These expenses don’t include her trips to UCSD Cancer Center three times a week for lab tests and infusion treatments.

All donations will be used for her necessary out of pocket medications and any travel expenses to hospital.

If you know how much Susan has done for others, you also know that this is a very difficult request for her to reach out for help, so I have taken this on for her.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Gratefully,

Ann Higham
