My name is Melanie Carroll and my partner's name is Frida Castro. We are both seniors working on a project, to enable a unique group of Salinas High School graduating seniors with the funds to attend their prom in May. These seniors deeply want to attend their prom; but cannot afford to do so as they are either in foster care or homeless. Despite these enormous challenges, they persevered and will be walking across the football field in three months with their fellow classmates receiving their diploma, a true testament of their character and strength. Our goal is to raise enough money to provide these students with their prom ticket, prom clothing, shoes, a warm coat, along with a capstone picture of the evening. Any donation, small or large is greatly appreciated! We believe that these brave and caring graduating seniors should have the opportunity to participate in one of their last senior activities and create a memory of a life time. Once a cowboy, always a cowboy!
