Help Keaton During His Recovery

As most of yall know Keaton was in an accident while at a birthday party while going down a water slide. He went down head first and straight into another boys knee.. This was his first time EVER going to someone’s party other than a family member and what was supposed to be fun ended up being a traumatic event.. I’m making this go fund me because it was so unexpected and we are going to have to get food, gas, clothes etc. because we came up here with nothing… also, our girls are staying with their aunt so anything extra we are going to be using to help get them food and stuff they need while we aren’t there. I don’t know how long we will be here at Children’s in Dallas currently but as of right now it’s looking like a few days. We are 2 hrs from home and I’m honestly scared… here’s the updates for everyone who’s like to know. If you can’t donate anything don’t worry about it at all, all I ask is to please share.

Fractured his top jaw

Fractured his septum bone

Fractured the bridge bone of the nose

No brain damage

No spinal fracture

Will have to have all 4 teeth replaced with veniers

Waiting on plastic surgeons and dental To decide if they’ll be doing surgery tonight or in the morning or if they’ll need to do surgery at all and he will remain on the vent until that decision has been made

UPDATE #2: Okay so newest update. Dental came and there was no saving the tooth that got knocked out and he’s at risk of losing 3 more which are all adult teeth.. they’re barely hanging in there.

Other wise he’s stable, he has responsive pupils, he’s having to have arm restraints because he keeps trying to rip the tube out while sedated. My heads killing me. Staying awake until dr comes and gives me an update

UPDATE: he’s in a room now, we are in waiting room waiting on them to finish doing pass off, report, getting him situated etc. will update more when I have more info. He’s stable and vitals are doing good.

For everyone who knows and doesn’t know Keaton was at a birthday party and collided with another boy when going down the blow up water slide. He was unconscious face down in the water for approximately 30 seconds and everyone pulled him out and started doing cpr because he wasn’t breathing then turned him on his side and he coughed up a bunch of water and blood. The collision It knocked his front tooth out, he was in and out of consciousness and got rushed to the hospital by EMS. The mom of the birthday boy was amazing and immediately called ems and they arrived within 10 mins and she rode with him until I got there and her and the dad and Keatons friend waited until he flew off to leave.

Here is an update so there’s no confusion on what’s going on.

We got life flighted to Dallas. He was in and out of consciousness and started profusely vomitting blood. They had to pump his stomach to get the blood out. He has fluid on his lungs so he’s about to start receiving lassics. he’s no longer fighting sedation. They reweighed him and the other hospital was 10lbs off so they adjusted sedation so now it’s working properly.

Waiting on NEW scan results. They’re double checking brain scan because they said there’s indications of a brain bleed. HE CAN breathe on his own but with a TBI they don’t want him distressed. ESPECIALLY because he was stopping breathing every 8-10 seconds.

I found out he was going down the slide face first and went straight into another kids knee.

His nose is definitely broke. The plastic surgeon is working on setting it to make the bleeding stop. They’re retaking all blood work and all that. They’re being really good here. Very thorough. I’m really glad we are at children’s in Dallas.

I will let everyone know about the new scan results as soon as they tell me
