Hi, my name is Thea and I am making this gofundme on behalf of Julia Ring and her family. Julia has been my best friend since 3rd grade. On easter morning Julia was the passenger of a vehicle driving on I-87, and was struck head on by a driver driving on the wrong side of the highway. Julia was in critical condition and was transported to a level one trauma center. The result of the impact left Julia with serious injuries, including internal bleeding as well as a a shattered leg and foot. She was rushed into surgery where the doctors worked hard to save her life for 9 hours. She has many more surgeries to come and the hardest days are to follow. Julia is a daughter, a sister, and a friend. The next few months will not be easy, so I’m asking for donations to take a little bit of the burden off of her and her family. She will be out of work indefinitely and her mother will have take time off to care for her when she comes home. Please consider contributing to her medical expenses. Hi everyone, thank you all for the overwhelming support. Julia is stable and feeling a little better. I saw her yesterday and she thanks you all for the support and donations. She has another surgery on Saturday and I will update more as I know more.

4/30 update:

Hi everyone, Julia was transferred to Burke last week. She’s officially done with surgeries and doing a lot better! She’s now learning how to transfer into her wheel chair (which she’s great at) and do other things independently. She’s not walking yet but she’s improving very quickly.
