Jeremy Roberts's Medical Fund

My name is Alisha and I am setting up this fund in honor of my husband, Jeremy Roberts.  First, I want to tell you what kind of person Jeremy is.  He is an active, hard-working man.  Sometimes he has worked two or three jobs to support his wife and two children.  He is always willing to help anyone he can.  I have seen him help total strangers in many different situations because he is a caring and thoughtful person, which is why this story is so heartbreaking.  While riding his motorcycle on Saturday, April 18, 2015, Jeremy was struck by a car.  Two men were racing their cars and did not see Jeremy on his motorcycle when one of the drivers hit Jeremy, crushing his foot and throwing him from his bike.  As a result, Jeremy had two surgeries on his foot and ultimately lost his right leg below the knee.  Jeremy has had a very positive and determined mind set through this whole situation.  Not once has he felt sorry for himself.  he feels so blessed to be alive and be here for his children.  We do not like to ask for help.  In fact, we never have.  Last month I made a bad decision and canceled our health insurance due to the high cost.  I made the biggest mistake of our life and now we sit with no health insurance to help cover the medical bills brought on by this accident.  We have hospital bills, doctor bills, medications, and most importantly, a prostethic leg to pay for.  Our main goal is to help Jeremy get his prostethic leg so he can get back to being the person he has always been.  We have had great support from family and friends, and they have done everything they can to help us!  We are reaching out to people and asking you to please donate anything you can to help us get Jeremy back to the father, husband, and person he has always been, and to ease the burden of medical bills that are already so high.  Anything you can give will be a blessing and would mean the world to us!  Thank you for reading our story!!  God bless!!!
