Please help me protect my son.

I left and went into a domestic violence shelter with my 3 kids and my ex went and filed for custody of our son 12 hours after we left. I have no savings since we had to flee for safety after he threatened to break my child's fingers and kill me, and am in desperate need of help hiring a lawyer to protect my son. The retainer fee is $3000, and while I know I won't be able to raise that much, I am hoping to at least get something to take some of the load off from reaching my goal. I don't typically ask for help, but I'm desperate and could really use it right about now, even if it's just a dollar to go towards the money jar.
