A little over a year ago, I had a stroke. Almost died. Had to learn to walk again.

While I was in the hospital, lost my place to stay. Fell behind with work.

Since then has been a daily struggle to afford the basics. I had a couple of family members who were able to provide short-term shelter, but no other aid was available.

I didn't know a thing like this existed. Saw someone else with a stroke recovery GoFundMe set up by a family member of theirs.

I didn't anticipate the struggle. Now am living in Texas, miles away from home, isolated and alone. Trying to get by on my own. The struggle is real. And my options are severely limited.
