Mark has been such a wonderful husband, father and friend to so many. The most enjoyable moments in his life were spent playing baseball, coaching and touching the lives of so many youth. It's hard to believe that it has been almost two years since Mark has been diagnosed with ALS. His disease has progressed to the point that he is completely immobile and in a wheelchair full time. He needs 24 hour care. The Crump family and friends have provided a team effort for Mark's care up until now but his needs have become more than they can handle alone.
The family has now had to hire a daily caregiver to assist with feeding, bathing and lifting. The cost is $2000 a month. Mark requires a special ALS wheelchair designed especially for him. The co-pay for this chair is $7000. He now requires a hoyer lift, a hospital bed, and other equipment to take care of his daily needs.
Needless to say the medical bills are piling up and will continue to do so.
We are hoping that this campaign will help the Crump family offset the financial stress of this debilitating disease, and focus on what truly is important... Getting Mark everything he needs to be comfortable and spending as much quality time with him as possible.
Please share this message with your family and friends so that the Crump family can provide Mark with the care he needs.
