Help Sarah Talk Again

Story

In July 2022 my sister Sarah received a mouthguard that severely misaligned her bite. She started breaking teeth that same month. In January 2023 her condition had progressed to where she could no longer chew due to extreme pain. By that February it was so severe that she had to forgo talking and moving her face entirely. An MRI revealed that her jaw has a slipped TMJ disc. Noninvasive treatments have not worked and she requires surgery that our insurance has declined to cover three times. She has lost three semesters of college, thousands in scholarships, savings, our family's retirement, and nearly a year of her life to this. The toll that chronic pain has taken on her mind, body, and spirit is immeasurable. Without this surgery, it is likely that she will never talk again. Please help us get her life back.
