Bradley's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lorraine (Jacqueline) Norris and I am setting this fund up for my father-in-law who has aggressive renal cell cancer.

His name is Bradley Eiler and he and his wife, Bobbi Jo, are two of the most amazing people I have ever known. You can see a family photo of us all (The one with all of us was taken before the first surgery). Bradley and Bobbi have seven children, the youngest five who they adopted out of foster care and all have special needs.  Despite the fact that both parents work and that my father-in-law is very sick, they have always made time to give the kids everything that they need. They have helped so many children from the foster care system, and would have adopted more if they had the means to. That's just the kind of people they are. They give and give and give, but have the hardest time accepting help.

So I am asking for them...

My father-in-law has an aggressive cancer that is continuing to spread throughout his body. This type of renal cell cancer is unresponsive to radiation, chemotherapy and other traditional cancer treatments. So far, he has lost his left arm, a kidney, and a fourth of a lung. He still has tumors in other parts of his body and its spreading. They are putting him on a new medicine that will make him so sick he has to be hospitalized, but will give him the best chance. He will be in the hospital for three days every week, and home for four days. This will last for six months to a year if we are lucky. Hopeful the medicine will work but it comes with many side effects.

The hospital that he will be in is a three hour drive away, and Bobbi will be going with him, and I will be keeping the kids when they are gone. I can't even tell you how expensive this is, even with insurance it doesn't cover everything. My mother-in-law will be quitting her job so that she can be with him. I want to help as much as I can, and hoping to raise some money to help them as well. Medical bills, gas, food, all these things add up so fast and it all just got so much harder with this new treatment.

They are hardworking people who always try to make things work without any help from anyone, but cancer is a whole other ball game. Things are stressful and emotional and I can see it weighing on them so much.

The treatment starts in June, maybe July if something goes wrong. I know that there are a lot of risks with donating, so please feel free to ask me any questions! I have never known any family more deserving of help then this family that I am so lucky to be a part of.

Bradley has had this cancer for seventeen years. His first surgery was the removal of his kidney and he thought that he was cured, but then seventeen years later they found another tumor in his arm so big that it snapped the bone. After that they took the arm, then part of his lung. It's been a little more than a year since we found out that the cancer was back, and everyday has been a battle for him. I really don't want them to take anymore from him.

I am so happy that he got to see his oldest son get married, but he has six other kids that he needs to see as well, four daughters to walk down the aisle, and not to mention grandkids.

They have been through so much as a family and things just keep getting worse, but some things are too personal to say, so I will stop there. Any help is a blessing and a very treasured gift!
