Cancer Treatment/Living Expenses

Donation protected
Chris Donofrio is a great guy with a great family. He was diagnosed with a rare form of intestinal cancer called Gist in May 2016. He is currently out of work, respectively so I’d like to try and raise money for him and his family during this troubling time.

Below, are some of the most recent updates posted by his mom (my best friend), Lisa so you have an idea of exactly what is happening and what they have been going through.

It’s never easy to ask for money but with Chris' medications/treatment/cost of medical insurance/co-pays/deductibles, the list goes on and on, they can use it. Please help Chris to be able to spend many more days with his family, friends and his children. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Thank you so much. Chris, his fiancée and mom travel back and forth to Miami now for treatment, It is the only location that is able to help him.  Moffitt and Mayo Clinic were no longer able to help him.  He has since been put through a clinical trial at the Miami Clinic which only covers his Chemo.  However they are still needing to cover expenses such as a PET scan, CT Scans, Deductibles, ER Visits, Everyday Living Expenses, etc.  Cancer is an EXPENSIVE DISEASE

Below is the Latest update on Chris:
Blood work all good, he had another Cat Scan today and IV Hydration. The PET scan will be next Monday morning and upper GI scans on Tuesday. The Team of Oncology Specialist have been reviewing his scans and they are all on the same page in believing that the tumors in his lower abdomen and pelvis are necrotic within and bleeding. When this happens they say that the tumors swell which is why they are bigger. The PET scan will show us more of live activity and if one or maybe a couple of the tumors are pressing on his bowel causing intermittent obstructions, and if that’s the case they will be surgically removed, he has an appt. scheduled with the Oncology Surgical Specialist on 11/19.   He was given medication for pain and medication to reduce the spasms so he can at least rest and sleep. The tumors in the liver are shrinking so all of the team strongly believe the treatment is working overall and he needs to get over this hump. No matter how knowledgeable the doctors are I still believe God is in control and the power of prayer is working. I’m mentally exhausted and hopefully will get a good night sleep tonight #teamchris #everystormrunsoutofrain #nevergiveup #wewillneverstopfighting #godsgotthis
