Amanda's Angels Please Help Her

Up until February of this year, 2018, Amanda was living a vibrant and full life, taking classes to earn her nursing degree, and making the Deans list along the way. In her time away from class and study Amanda was in charge of child care at Jazzercise during the mornings six days a week. She had a great relationship with the children  and their parent, they loved her and she loved them. On the weekends she was putting her nursing education and compassionate attitude to work by caring for an elderly gentlemen. Her duties including helping him to dress, cooking for him and everything in between. Sadly and tragically  after what doctors think were weeks of undetected incubation Amanda was taken to the emergency room and diagnosed with a case of Viral Meningitis and Encephalitis, which is swelling of the brain. One of these illnesses can be fatal let alone two at the same time. Amanda is fortunate to be alive. These illnesses left Amanda taken to the Emergency room and admitted into the hospital for FIVE  weeks. Viral Meningitis left her with mental and emotional impairment as well as paralysis. Her mental faculty returned but she has been left with severe memory and concentration problems along with physical disabilities. Amanda was unable to move, feel the sensation to go to the bathroom, feed herself and tend to  daily needs. After five weeks of in patient rehabilitation in order to try and retrain her bladder to learn to go to the bathroom again, brush her teeth and learn to walk again among other daily parts of life that Amanda use to be able to do before becoming ill. Amanda then spent another FULL  month in an in patient physical therapy care facility.  In this day and age when insurance companies like to move people out quickly Amanda had to stay as inpatient care for TWO months. Amanda's journey was not over as she then needed and went to over forty outpatient physical therapy sessions. Amanda needs more help but her insurance will not authorize it. Amanda is only able to walk by using a walker, she must use a raised toilet seat and a shower chair to name just a few handicap devices she needs. Amanda must have someone present to do these things as she has fallen many times and injured herself.  The results of these devastating and life threatening ailments have left Amanda unable to work.  Amanda's bills and expenses keep coming and are overwhelming her, she is in desperate need of any financial help that the good, kind, compassionate and generous people like you can afford to donate.
