Oh how this has been a long awaited moment. MILAN! Thank you to all the family and friends who have been so excited for me to embark on this journey for the past two years. It’s finally here!
For me this is not just simply studying abroad, but another big stepping stone into adulthood. Though it’s been an anxious and nerve racking process of thinking about being in a whole different country, speaking another language, facing a new culture, and overall being in the unknown, these are moments that I know are filled with immense growth. One does not grow in comfortability, it is about being able to step out into the uncharted and truly find what one is capable of. This is my step. To dive head first and with an open heart into a new culture, surrounding myself with likeminded individuals that crave the same level of greatness, and growing not only as a student but as an individual, a young woman I have always pictured myself to become.
From my favorite movies of Under the Tuscan Sun, Sabrina, and Me Before You, they all taught me to romanticize everything about life. To look at the good in the bad. To look at mistakes as learning moments. To see the endless possibilities this world has to offer. “Live boldly. Push yourself. Don’t settle. Just live well. Just live.”
The moments of just living not only as a beginner Italian, but I would also love to include travel to expand my horizons and seeing a little bit more of what this world has to offer. With some research about a few of the places I’d love to go such as Tuscany, France, Spain, Interlaken, Portofino, and a few more the estimate cost would be around $5,000. It would mean the world to me to be financially assisted with whatever you can give and help me on my European journey. (P.S. 1 euro covers a limoncello shot LOL).
Love you all very much!
