She doesn’t know his name, but she’ll never forget what he did.

As flames tore through Cindy’s home in on July 29, 2025, she ran barefoot into the street with her children, who had nothing on but their underwear. That’s when a stranger stopped.

He told her 911 was already on the way, helped calm her down, loaded her kids and their dog into his truck… and then disappeared before she could even say thank you.

“I believe God sent that man today,” she said.

Cindy and her kids made it out safely, but the fire destroyed everything they owned: baby blankets, handmade cards, their clothes, school supplies, and every keepsake from their childhood. Their rescue cat, Peaches, didn’t survive

Now, she’s trying to rebuild from nothing.

“I’m looking at this moment and thinking… this is a fresh start,” she said. “I have my kids. They are safe. They are alive. Thank you, God, for getting us out in time.”
