Every little bit helps

Last night in the wee hours of the morning my father John Armstrong had a house fire. Thankfully he was able to make it out of the home with minor injuries.

Unfortunately, most of his belongings were lost including all of his clothing, blankets, bedding etc. He is currently staying in a motel but won’t be able to stay much longer.

My father originally from Carp, Ontario grew up on a farm with his five siblings and moved to Kemptville in 1986 to start his own family. Dad has lived in Kemptville since then.

You know that old saying “it takes a village?” I’m asking for help from the village to find my father housing, clothing and any other help cover any expenses that may arise during this traumatic time.
