Matt's Recovery

Hi, my name is Kari and my kids and I are asking for financial support to help their Dad recover from a long battle of substance abuse and addiction. This six month to a year recovery program is a crucial step in the healing process. The Recovery Pines model has a high level of structure and supervision and will help in his rehabilitation from substance abuse, strengthening his faith, provide medical, health and wellness, as well as life skills to get him back on his feet.

Many who know Matt and our family well, who have walked along side us through a tumultuous and difficult past 7 years understand the mental, physical, and spiritual struggles our family has faced. We have been covered in prayer and have had so many step up to help me and my kids get through this time, and have sought help for Matt for many years. Matt was on a path of self-destruction, living a lifestyle that drained all hope and healing. But God, in His most gracious way, brought about divine intervention and Matt, finally took the step forward to enter rehab and choose to allow God to take control and find safety with those who were willing to walk beside him on a path towards recovery and reconciliation. I know how much my kids need their dad and how much they have missed over the years. We love Matt, and know how talented, smart, compassionate, and impactful he can be when he is both physically and spiritually healthy. He has so much to give and we are fighting for him to keep fighting his addictions and find peace and confidence in God. Isaiah 40: 28-31 (NIV) says it well: "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
