Danielle's Road to Recovery

Let's pull together and help Danielle during this unexpected, terrible time in her life! Danielle has a grade 2 brain tumor on the right side of her brain. She has suffered intense pain, headaches, loss of hearing and vision, and trouble sleeping. The left lobe of the brain affects motor functions. Luckily, her tumor is on the right lobe. This means they can remove as much of the right lobe as needed, so they can remove the e ntire tumor. Their plan it to take 2/3 of the frontal right lobe, and then do a cat scan on Monday to see if it has grown back. She may need radiation and will need continuous care to ensure nothing becomes cancerous. As you all now, the hardest part of this for her has being away from Arlo and her family! She is down at Albany Med, so her family is facing travel expenses, etc.. Danielle will definitely require frequent future medical attention for the rest of her life to maintain the shunt, and to make sure the tumor doesn't ever reappear. Let's help her out!!
