Help feed NW Hosp. workers & keep us in business!
Donation protected
Covid-19 has taken our small business for a spiraling ride!
With each $10 donation we will donate 1 box meal (includes: 6" sandwich, chips, cookie & bottle of H20) to our neighboring NW Hospital for their ER employees and others at the front lines of the Covid-19 crisis.
Since the middle of February, customers have slowly stopped coming in! Therefore our sales began dropping, pre-ordered perishable food began being wasted and we had to cut our business and employee hours drastically.
We ended up totally closing our doors 2/17 to 2/25 leaving our employees with 0 hours. We are back open & operating each day 11am-4pm.
We have reached out to Amazon and Facebook, but unfortunately we are not within their zoning for any grant monies. We have also applied for the City of Seattle grant and a SBA Loan and are still awaiting a response.
** Update as of 4/13, we have filled out 7 applications for grants/relief, so far denied for 5, 1 loan offered (see below) and awaiting a response from the SBA PPP.
**Update as of 4/3/2020 The City of Seattle rejected our grant application as the mayor of Seattle (Jenny Durkan) specifically is excluding franchisees from any grant monies intended for small businesses. (we have 4 employees and are small business owners!)
** Update as of 4/4/2020 WA DC Small Business Administration called this morning! They had a $5,000 SBA loan to offer at 3.75% and 30yr term.
Both of these last updates are complete disappointments for us and our business as our rent alone is $3,300 a month :(
Unfortunately, at this time Subway is not offering the relief we currently need, customers are still nervous to go out, and our landlord is not offering any support or relief!
With spreading the word to the few open businesses near us, our hope is to gain some regular delivery orders to give our employees back hours and maintain some normalcy within our business.
In the past few years we have been able to make it through the $15hr now movement, Seattle Secure Scheduling ordnance, Sick Leave/Family pay etc...and now are really hoping that after 16 years in business this pandemic isn't what makes us close our doors for good.
We are true small business owners! Family owned & operated!!! #SmallBizRelief
Once again, with each $10 donation we will donate 1 box meal (includes: 6" sandwich, chips, cookie & bottle of H2O) to NW Hospital ER employees and others at the front lines of the Covid-19 crisis. The boxed lunches will be delivered each Friday as long as this fundraiser is active (our goal is to donate 50+ box meals each Friday beginning April 3rd)!
Each Friday we will post a update with pics :)
