Todd Williams - Weston Cottage Fire Nov. 2023

Hi, my name is Jennifer Williams. In the early hours of Monday morning, Nov. 20, 2023, our family cottage in Weston, VT, where my brother lived full-time, burned to the ground.

Thankfully, Todd and his beloved support dog, Abby, were able to get out safely with naught by the clothes on Todd's back. The house is a complete loss. It was burned entirely to the ground. His car, too, was gutted, as it was parked next to the house. A lone shed remains - singed, but standing. Todd did not have insurance on the property (except for his car).

As many of you know, Todd has also been on a recovery journey. He's been very open about that. As of this coming Friday, he will have a supportive community in which to live through the winter. This gives us time to help Todd make a plan. We'll make decisions as to whether to rebuild and where Todd will live come the Spring.

For now, Todd could use some help funding some of the basics while he gets set up in his temporary living situation. He does not need furniture or household items at this time, but we've been working on replacing his phone, a laptop, clothing, meds, shoes, jackets, toiletries, etc. and providing him transport.

Accessibility to his accounts is proving to be a problem, but he can now receive phone calls and texts (not emails). Since he doesn't have YOUR contact information, please text him with it so that he can add you to his new phone. It's the same phone number he's had.

Please consider helping with a modest donation. He doesn't need a lot, just some help getting him to the point where he can access his accounts and get the very basics.
