My name is Lisa Aquino, and I have an 85 year old friend who desperately needs our help. Dan has inoperable stage IV cancer and lives alone in a small studio in San Diego. He lives simply, but his social security check and modest pension don't cover his monthly living expenses. He can't even pay for his 2 ambulance copays for when he had to go to the emergency room.

Ten years ago, Dan moved to San Diego from San Francisco, where he was born and raised, to care for his ailing partner. Sadly, she has since passed away and Dan has no family to care for him. Dan has always lived simply and responsibly paid his bills on time.

A few years ago, Dan was scammed out of his life savings and now he is more worried about not being able to pay his bills than dying!

I flew down to San Diego to spend a few days with Dan and to see how I could help him. Was able to purchase him some necessities and do several loads of wash. I am trying to help him as best as I can from San Francisco, but his bills keep growing.

Dan is a kind soul who has always shared whatever he had with others. Now Dan is need of the support and generosity of others. Please help if you are able.
