UPDATE 11.16.25
HE IS STARTING TO RESPOND MORE EACH DAY AND I COULDNT BE HAPPIER JUST TRYING TO KEEP HIS HOME FOR HIM AND HIS KIDS PLEASE SHARE AND PRAY.....from Carol Ray
UPDATE 11.7.25
Brian has been unresponsive since October 10, 2025. We learned today that they are searching for a longbterm care facility to help him heal. Family and friends keep praying for a positive outcome. His children need him.
This past year, a friend and neighbor, Brian Ray, found out he had chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). He started chemotherapy early and was doing well and thought he was in remission. Brian was able to return to work and care for his family. About two years ago, symptoms started to return, but Brian kept fighting strong. About a month ago, he suffered a severe head injury, leaving him with encephalitis (swelling of the brain) and unresponsive. He was able to come off a ventilator after a week but was still unresponsive. While in the hospital, he developed pneumonia and a blood clot in his lung. Surgery was attempted to relieve the swelling in his brain, but had to be stopped due to vital signs dropping very low.
Brian is a single father of two children, Brayden (9) and Kaylee (8), whom he has raised on his own since they were very young. With the help of his parents, Brian has raised two amazing children despite many challenges. Neither Brian nor his family have asked for help, but his neighborhood family wished to demonstrate how important he is to his children and how much they wish to see him return to health and be back with them soon.
Please help support this young family to offset daily living expenses as well as medical expenses in this long road of recovery.
