Help Richard’s Recovery

Dear Friends,

Our Kids’ Nanny is in need of blessings and financial assistance for the recovery of a family member in India who suddenly fell ill. They unfortunately do not possess the resources to afford the care he needs for recovery and are asking for assistance as soon as possible with an initial goal of $15,000 to offset hospitalization costs already accrued.

Richard’s wife Maria and their daughter Karishma have relied on the kindness of hospital administration and pharmacy for donations of medications and discounts in costs. However, overall fees still remain overwhelming.

Please see the following request letter by Richard’s wife;

“Dear friends,

I am reaching out to you in this challenging time to request your help!

Last Saturday, my husband Richard started displaying worrying symptoms such as high fever, vomiting, shortness of breath and confusion. His oxygen levels were getting low and he had increased difficulty breathing. We took a covid test, but he tested negative, yet his symptoms worsened.

On the recommendation of a local doctor, we rushed him to the hospital. The ECG test showed significant changes and said he could be having a heart attack or stroke and was in distress. After moving him to a bigger hospital they diagnosed him with acute kidney failure, immediately put him in ICU on a ventilator and intubated him before running several tests.

After 4 days, his condition improved, but we had to change hospital as the place was much too expensive for India, and health care is not free here. After shifting to the 2nd hospital his condition worsened, and he started to develop organ issues, with fluid in his lungs, Hep A of the liver and blood infection.

He is now on dialysis and in a critical state in the ICU; the doctors cannot tell us how he will respond to the medication or improve. Needless to say, the hospital bills have been significantly high, and we are struggling to find solutions to pay to keep his treatment going.
