#Getdad 2 Graceland

Hello everyone

My name is dean and it's taken me a great mental battle to do this as I really struggle to ask for help with anything I am raising funds to tick as much of my dad's bucket list as possible while he's still able

Here's a little about my dad his name is Eddie he's a 65 year old widow unfortunately we lost my mum to cancer 7 years ago and hes all we have left he as stage 4 metastatic liver cancer that has spread to his adrenal glands and lungs and he has type 2 diabetes he is on palliative care and he will never be curable he got his diagnosis at the end of 2023 2 days before Christmas and in September 2024 he was scheduled to have a liver resection to remove the cancer but upon his scan before the surgery it had shown up that it had spread so his surgery was cancelled 2 days before it was due to be done since then he has been on chemo but it has been ineffective and the cancer has grown and spread farther and has made his diabetes really hard to control we spent 2 days in hospital last week from a severe hypo and he has been living at mine since to make sure he's ok before he returns home

My dad has a list of things he wants to do and I want to make sure he does them while he still can but unfortunately I'm only human and I'm not super rich

My dad is a huge Elvis fan and all he has ever dreamed of since he was a boy was going to Graceland and I want to make it happen for him but it's around £5000 for flights and accomodation etc . he was a fabricator welder and engineering has always fascinated him so we have been arranging trips to places like Falkirk locks and the 7 locks in Daventry and I've organised to take him to aeropark museums and ship yards but I can only stretch my limited resources so far and really need help to get it all done and he would love to go back to where we spread mums ashes in Ireland one more time

So please help me help my dad enjoy the time he has left and live life to the fullest he's supported me whenever I've needed it and I'm trying to support him as much as I possibly can but we need some help and every single bit will go toward helping him create some wonderful memories with his children and grandchildren
