Pets in Recovery is asking for donations toward Hunter and Scout’s Dental Surgery Fund
Hello, my name is Ken Moses, Founder and Organizer for Pets in Recovery (EID #33-2565420), a volunteer temporary pet fostering service in Coachella Valley, for people who enter recovery centers. Since 2019, we have been fostering pets while their owners get the recovery help they need. Our mission is simple: to eliminate the barrier of pet care for those who wish to get clean and sober.
I'm reaching out to ask for your help with our 2 newest foster pups, Hunter (age 13) and Scout (age 11). Both female miniature Schnauzers are in desperate need of dental surgery. Hunter has 6 rotten teeth, and Scout has 5. These pups are unable to even eat the softest of food and are in serious pain. They love to play ball, but both stop and can’t pick it up because of the pain.
Pets in Recovery had both dogs examined at Banning Vet Hospital, where the vet recommended immediate dental surgeries for both pups to extract the rotten teeth, which could eventually be a life-threatening situation for both dogs. We at Pets in Recovery are committed to putting these 2 girls in better health while their daddy is completing his treatment program at a recovery center in Los Angeles.
The estimated cost of the surgery is a combined $4,200 for both pups. Unfortunately, we do not have the financial means to cover this expense on our own, as we barely have enough donations to cover food and supplies needed for our foster animals while in our care. I'm turning to the kindness of the community to help me raise the funds necessary to give Hunter and Scout a chance at healthy lives for many more years. Our mission at Pets in Recovery is to give them back in better health, to a clean and sober owner, building a healthier home for all involved.
Hunter and Scout are dearly loved by their owner, and we as their fostering family, have showered them with love as well. I know that many of you have experienced the unconditional love and joy that pets bring to our lives, and I'm pleading for your support so we can put Hunter and Scout in better health while their owner is getting the recovery help he needs. As their dad gets better, help us make Hunter and Scout better! Please consider donating and share our GoFundMe link, and become part of someone's recovery story, while building better health and a home for these 2 amazing dogs. You can also follow our recovery stories on our Facebook page . We are a registered non-profit organization, so all donations are tax-deductible.
