My name is David Matthai. I have the honor and privilege of calling the man in the top photo, Greg McAnally, one of my best friends.

In the 12 years I have known Greg, he has always had a maginificent attitude and been the first one to offer help to others. Hard working, ambitious, loving...there are so many adjectives I could use to describe my friend!While important, that's not the reason we are posting here.

In that same 12 years, I have watched as Greg's knees became progressively worse. I have watched the pain in his face as he attempted to do activities that most of us take for granted, like walking or going up & down steps. I have encouraged him to look into having a complete knee replacement done. Greg's Doctors kept putting it off, trying every other method to stop the pain, short of a complete replacement.

But now it's time to get it done!

The funds we want to raise will be used to cover the additional expenses that are not covered under the medical insurance. Since the healing time is extended a bit with a total knee replacement, some of the funds may go to help with cost of living while recovering.

Greg's surgery is currently scheduled for late May-early June. When we get the funds raised, he will be able to go into  surgery knowing that he can heal at his own pace and not have to worry.

I have never seen Greg without some pain lines in his face! Many of us who love him would like to have the opportunity to see that face, pain free! To see him regain the ability to do the things that so many of us take for granted.

I know the day will arrive, in the not to distant future, when the pain, that he never complained about, is gone from his face. And I will be eternally grateful to have been a part of that solution! I and many others will  have our friend back!
