On February 7th, Jake "Wally" Dunnell was in a snowmobile accident in Deer River, MN. He was transferred from the Essentia Deer River hospital via ambulance to Essentia Duluth - St. Mary's hospital, where he was stabilized before accessing his injuries.

On February 8th, it was determined that he needed surgery as soon as possible on his cervical spine. Later that day, he was intubated and placed on a ventilator while that operation was performed. Surgery was a success and there are no signs of paralysis!

He also broke his lower right leg and on February 9th, an operation was performed to repair the damage. On February 10th, the ventilator was removed and sedation was lightened. On February 12th, he was moved to a regular hospital room.

Today, February 14th, his 50th birthday, he was transferred to Miller Dwan in Duluth for physical rehabilitation.
