Sandra and Mark Everitt

Hi, I'm Peter, co-worker of Mark Everitt for more than 28 years.

Mark has been tirelessly working at Huron Pines Golf Club for 33 years. Sadly, this past fall Mark received a diagnosis of Pulmonary Fibrosis, a disease for which there is no known cure. A few months later came worse news, significant spots on his lungs that turned out to be cancer. Given the advanced state of the cancer, any treatment options were as likely to have a very negative outcome for Mark as they would be to help him. With doctors giving Mark 3 to 6 months to live, he has elected to spend as much of that time at home with his wife Sandra as possible.

Sandra herself, after knee and foot surgeries, is no longer able to work her job of 37 years as her job was a physical one, and she has no pension in any case. Between equipment rentals like oxygen tanks, hospital bed, wheel chair and medications, to list a few current needs, times are dire for the Everitts. They can use all the help they can get.
