Support Dean’s Heart Surgery Recovery

As a lot of people have heard, our dad (Dean Flowers / D-no) has been experiencing some life-threatening heart issues recently.

As a backstory for those who have not heard. He has been suffering from a great number of heart attacks in the recent months leading up to February 14th, 2025 he had an emergency triple bypass. Which was caused by over a 90% blockage. He got a wonderful Valentine's gift of many more years, which all of us kids and grandkids are grateful for.

Although he was already semi-retired, he had been unable to work for the past nine months because of his condition. Since the surgery, he has been recovering slowly and steady. His doctors say the average recovery time for his procedure is three months. Which sounded wonderful until Doc was informed the line of work our dad has performed since his teenage years. The physical nature of his work, as a brick/block mason, he is prohibited from going back to work for roughly 5 months.

Many of you have already shown our dad so much support by sending cards, baked goods and prayers. We would greatly appreciate your consideration of providing him some more support by helping cover the expenses over the next several months, while he’s still recovering and unable to work.

The past weeks of recovery have been full of family time, laughter, and SO many baked goods that we’ve all enjoyed. We would like to let everyone know that he also was diagnosed as diabetic while in the hospital. So if anyone is interested in giving him baked goods, we asked they please be sugar-free. Dad loves to see all your goodies coming his way but his blood sugar does not!
