Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Diana Weir, and I am only 16 years old. I never imagined I would be sharing such a difficult and heartbreaking story, but I feel it’s important to reach out for help during this incredibly challenging time.

Recently, I faced the unimaginable loss of my father. His passing has left a profound void in our lives, and I cannot put into words how deeply we miss him. As I navigate through this pain, I am also trying to support my younger brother and my mother, who is doing her best to hold our family together.

We have only recently moved to the US, and after much struggle, my mom finally obtained her papers and started working. However, the burden of my father’s death has left us in a precarious financial situation. We are currently behind on our rent, and the stress of potentially losing our home looms over us every day. We have no financial support to rely on, as my father was our sole provider.

In this time of grief, it’s hard to focus on rebuilding our lives when our basic needs are at risk. We desperately want to regain stability and create a nurturing environment for my brother and me, but we need help—any amount, no matter how small, would make a world of difference for us.
