Rick's funeral expenses
Donation protected
As many of you may know my dad, Rick, has suffered tremendously the past few years with his health. This resulted in many complications and life changing losses. No matter what he was going through, he never waivered from his selfless, kind hearted ways. He was the guy who once would buy coffee for the whole dunkin drive through line, pay for a table of 15 soldiers to have breakfast, snowblow our entire streets driveways and sidewalks before his own, and even in his last few weeks of life he was crawling around a yard, assisting one of his best friends try to remedie a burst pipe.
On December 6th, he suffered from cardiac arrest. Since then, he had been unresponsive and on a ventilator to keep him stable. He was a strong willed man, as we all know-and boy, has he shown us that in the past couple weeks.
He began quickly giving us signs of life, opening his eyes, moving his head. Unfortunately, this all came to a halt shortly after it began. He was then diagnosed with pneumonia which would further complicate his already fragile condition.
This week, as a family, we had to make the hardest decision of our lives. We decided to bring in hospice to keep him comfortable, and allow him to pass peaceful on his on. Even after the ventilator was removed, his strong will kept him alive for 2 more days with no medical intervention.
He was a proud, strong, courageous man, who we know would have wanted nothing more then to be out of pain, and at peace with his many beloved family members in heaven.
Though our father is at peace now, the future holds many burdens for our family.
If you knew my father, you knew of his kindness. You know of his humor. You knew of his generosity. Because of this and more, our dad deserves to be laid to rest in beautiful fashion.
Unfortunately, his life savings quickly dwindled as a result of his hardships the last few years. We are asking for assistance in giving him the proper send-off he deserves. Any donations would be appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please kindly share and spread the word.
Thank you ❤️
